There’s a popular commercial playing now that shows the skies filled with drones. Well, according to our latest Quick Poll, many of them could be operated by property managers. Some 94% of managers responding to the Poll say they would find the technology useful for their businesses (as opposed, one would assume, to using them for spying on their neighbors!).
The majority of responses were split evenly at 38% between “Property Maintenance/Inspection” and “Security Purposes.” Running a close second at 18% was “Virtual Marketing.” Only 6% claim that they “Would Never Use Drone Technology.”
But for those who are intrigued by the idea, there’s more involved than just playing with a remote controlled airplane, and you could run into FAA restrictions if you don’t know what you’re doing. For more on drones, listen to the free recording of the IREM webinar, Drones: The Next Big Thing in Property Management?, originally presented on February 12, 2015.
